    I think you need more contrast. The one that is blue and grey is a little better. I don't like frames or having to scroll down the timeline/article. You are using a lot of screen space at the top for something I am not really interested in.

    The idea for all of these timelines is kind of interesting, but you are not delivering the "explorer" part of your name. I would expect a site like historyexplorer to have tons of links that allow me to dig deeper into any given event.

    Good luck.

    It sounds like a very interesting year long project. :)

    I didn't mean that I don't like to scroll at all. I just don't like scrolling a single frame. My first suggestion is to avoid frames all together, but I would imagine there are several options.

    I dont know what u understand by frames ... those are not html frames if you think that ... its simple css box with overflow ...

    Personally, I liked the thumbnail above with the blue sidebar, but I think the new design could work, but needs some help.

    Specifically, the adsense integration is very poor, and I recommend having some kind of header to visually anchor the site. Currently, there are bits just floating in space, looking disorganized.

    Also, all your timelines end at around 1990-2000. But then again, you have a year to fix that:D

    Do you have any suggestions where should i put adsense. I am thinking of leaving just banner in the header!

    Thank You

    A directory, huh? Well that was certainly an interesting choice.

    Good Luck!

    hahahaha i just realized ... i had this in .htaccess

    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^directory\.historyexplorer\.net [NC]
    RewriteRule ^(.*) http://www.historyexplorer.net/directory/ [L,R=301]
    </IfModule>

    You all know what this means .... every single visitor was redirected to
    directory ...

    i had 10 visitors from msn.com and all were redirected to directory while they were looking for completely different things haha

    what a waste
