I wouldn't say the design is perfect, but back in the day when most people were on dialup, the lack of things to load made it popular for those that wanted to find things quickly on the internet.
Yeah I agree, zerk. There design has changed, yet still had the same sort of look and feel to it; and they have come a long way. Google are great, I'm just worried about them becoming a super power.
They have They have their hands in many of the major websites and it is a scary thought knowing one company can basically control the internet in a few years if they wanted to.
