I'm looking for someone to work with me on e-learning development projects, utilizing traditional Web design and development skills. Internship credit is available to college students, though the position is open to all qualified applicants. This position will pay $10-12 per hour, 20 hours per week, and the position is approved to remain open for at least the remainder of the calendar year, with a strong possibility for renewal and/or full-time upgrade at that time. Summary of description: Assist in the development and maintenance of content for online and classroom learning materials. Create interactive learning tools for both online and offline training. Assist in the development of classroom training tools. Involvement in planning of future training initiatives. Will gain greater knowledge of client-side technologies related to development in the Web environment. Will gain greater knowledge of the instructional design process. Summary of qualifications: Intermediate knowledge in the following areas: HTML/XHTML CSS JavaScript Flash ActionScript Graphic design software (Fireworks, Photoshop and Illustrator primarily) Writing skills, specifically good grammar, spelling and content structuring skills. Experience in the following areas is desirable, but not necessary: ASP/.net, PHP, CGI and/or other server-side coding languages MSSQL, MySQL, SQL, Access, PostGRE and/or other database platforms or flat-file writing and retrieval.
