OK basically I'm looking to hire a Web Designer/Coder to simple create a simple single page template. I need someone that is experienced with HTML, CSS, PHP and SEO. Basically I just want someone that knows what they are doing and can write very clean and efficient code. I also need someone who is able to chat via MSN or AIM. I have written out somewhat of a description of what I'm after and I have done up a bit of an image to sorta show what I'm after. I must admit though I can be tough to work with at times because I can be quite picky, but at the same time I'm quite descriptive about what I want and very transparent, but that said this isn't a complicated designer or anything. If you are interested in working with me please PM me your details, what experience you have, how long it will take to complete a job like this, and how much you think completing a job like this would cost. Thanks. ----------------------------------------------------------- A OK so basically I’m looking have some what of a simple template design that is essentially for articles that I have written for my sites, I’d like this template to be designed in such a way that it is also optimized for AdSense, SEO and other site related site related promotions. I’d also like the designed to be essentially simple enough that each new page really only needs the new article to be inserted into the page and the rest of the aspects of the page, like header, navbar, AdSense, footer etc just be inserted into the page via php includes because they will be the same for each page (I’m assuming this is the best way to do it, if I’m wrong please throw suggestions at me). OK for the design I will start at the overall size and style of the page. Basically I’d like the page to be 780px in width and essentially be a box that is centered on the page 10px from the top and bottom of the page. Also I’d like to use an image as the background of the non content area. From there I’d like a 20px section at the top of the page where I intend to place a Google ad links unit that will be inserted via a php include. From there I’d like it to move straight into a 775x100px picture, before the main content part of the design. You don’t need to design an image or anything – I can do that. OK for the first php include I’d like to have somewhat of a navbar. Now this isn’t much of a navbar as much as it is a place to put a few advertisements. Basically I’d like rectangles that are a different color from the white background of the content area. I think a lightish green would look good, but we might have to try a couple of combinations. I’d also like these boxes to have a border that is a partial line, like the border has lots of gaps in it. Have a look at the attached image if you don’t understand what I mean. I’m not quite sure of the dimensions of the rectangles; it is always hard to tell until you see them. For the first one a good start might be 175px wide by about 125px tall. Then I’d like the second box to have a slightly different background color – and I’d like the color to be the same shade of green, but just made slightly darker and I’d like the border to be a solid line rather than a partial line. And then below that I’d like another one of the boxes like first. All that should be in a php include allowing for easy changing. Then I guess the next thing needed is a php include for some Google ads. In this php include I’d like to have a simple image to the right of the Google ads just like is depicted in the attached image and then have a large rectangle Google ad unit. I don’t know if there is much more I can say about that. Next I guess comes the actual article itself and I’d like this to come directly under the Google ads but to the right of the navbar. Now here I need a bit of CSS done as well for the header tags mainly. Basically I’d like to have a h1 header tag first of the title of the article, but I’d like it to be setup in a remote CSS file so that it is considerably smaller that the standard h1 text. Under the h1 title I’d like it to go straight into the article text and in that article I will most likely have a couple of h2 header sub titles as well so I’d like to again setup in the CSS file a text size smaller than the standard h2 header size. Now I’d also like the text of the article to wrap around the navbar so that it takes up the full width of the page. From there I guess is the next php include which will be essentially just be another php include with a large rectangle Google ad unit with the images to the left of the ad unit. This ad unit will be aligned to the left side of the page. Then to the right side of the page I’d like to have another php include for a box that is slightly gray and has a list of links to similar articles. This box should be roughly the same height as the Google ad unit to its left. From there I’d like a footer that again has a grayish background, and again I’d like that to be a php include. There are obviously a few other things like font, text size, link colors, navbar setup, SEO etc that need to be discussed but I think these might be better discuss once other things are sorted out. ----------------------------------------------------------- If you think you can complete a task like this please PM me.
