Hi, We own a large fitness based forum in the UK. The forum has nearly 5,000 members, 15k threads and over 250k of posts. All users\threads\posts have been added organically and the forum has been online for over 3.5 years. The forum is tied onto a large commercial site and is now taking too much time to manage for the technical contact in-house. What we are looking for is an experienced admin of vB to manage the forums. Of course this would be done remotely and on a spare-time basis. Job Specification * Upgrading vB to current versions and applying security fixes via the admin system (no access will be given to the dedicated server, this will be done in conjunction with our technical contact), however you will be expected to peform all vB\http side changes once the files have been uploaded. * A mod team is in place, but helping to organise the mod team and making any changes that you feel are required. * Looking out for new hacks\plugins that will improve the board. * Keeping the community happy by posting any changes and keeping them in the loop. * Improving the rules and any procedures. * Moderating (deleting posts\infractions\bans etc) where required. ...and any other tasks that an admin would usually perform. What are we looking for? Ideally we would be looking for a UK based person, if not it should be someone who can work with GMT. Someone with excellent experience of vB, the internet and generally running a busy'ish board. This must be proven with examples of boards they have worked with. They must be mature, loyal, passionate and dedicated. An interest in health and fitness would be advantageous, but not essential as the skills in being in being an admin are transferable. The mods have knowledge of the sector. It is a semi-paid position, however this is negotiable, but please be realistic.
