Hello, I have been looking to hire an overseas worker to help with SEO activities. Basically, I have been looking for someone to do research and based on that research write blog posts and articles. I also need a person who can do basic tech stuff like HTML and installing plugins for wordpress, and is simply comfortable navigating the web from a publisher's standpoint. Obviously due to the nature of the tasks, command of english language with marketing skills is very important. My budget has been $300 to $400/month for a full time worker. I have found OK candidates but no one outstanding yet that I've wanted to hire. I've been using two methods so far: 1) posting on a Pakistani job board - found people with tech skills, some with graphic skills, but English skills were always a concern with the candidates 2) hiring an agency to find workers in Phillipines - English is great, tech skills so so, they still haven't been able to find me anyone skillful yet. I was hoping anyone who has successfully hired a full time overseas employee for SEO can share their experiences and success story. Where did you look? How is the employee doing? What skills do you think are key? Any other words of wisdom? Thanks, Kalvin
finding a good and skilled individual is indeed a challenge, think about it for 1 sec, if someone has great english communication skills, and is also an SEO, why would he work for someone for 300 dollars per month ? this guy should be very busy creating his 50 websites strong adsense content network or whatever..
Foreign SEO is challenging, most common being the language issue. We currently marketing to Brazil so outsourcing some of the SEO work to that country is best - they know the language, the nuances in the language, etc. If you're marketing to North America (or related), English is always the issue. 1st question to ask: can they write content with relevant keyword?
I think foreign workers can produce keyword-relevant content. My friends have been very lucky to find good people. I just feel there must be more talented and competent workers who are very eager to work (especially in this economy).
