[HIRING] Need Program to Search Folders/Files & Delete Folders

Hello,

I need a program that can search folders, and all subfolders, for a particular file type and if that file type is not there, it deletes the folder and all the contents inside it.

For example, I will have:

C:\Main\
C:\Main\Folder1
C:\Main\Folder2\subfolder\subfolder\subfolder\
C:\Main\Folder3\subfolder
C:\Main\Folder4
C:\Main\Folder5

It will scan all the folders, and any folders that do not not have my particular file type will be deleted. However, I need it to work with subfolders.

So I will input c:\Main as the search in directory. And it will only delete "folder1,2,3,4,5" if any of them dont have the file type, it will NOT delete subfolders individually.

For example if I have:
C:\Main\Folder3\subfolder1
C:\Main\Folder3\subfolder2
C:\Main\Folder3\subfolder3

and subfolder3 has my file type I need to keep the rest of the subfolders also.

hmm, is this meant for web or a desktop application?

I assume from the example you wrote there, its a desktop application

 

Yep seems much to a desktop app. I was about to write a simple Perl snippet.

 

I would prefer a desktop application.

I'm still looking for someone to do this.
