Looking for graphics artist for small t-shirt company. Work will involve creating custom designs for restaurants, local businesses, and other entities, as well as general designs for our own fashion line. Designs must be unique and delivered on time.

    Requirements include:
    - regular access to a computer
    - ability to create designs both on and off of the computer
    - a scanner (may be substituted by excellent computer-aided designs skills)

    - a Paypal account

Experience with CorelDraw or Photoshop a plus.

Work will begin immediately upon hire and be conducted on a freelance basis. Job pays $10 for each accepted design. Unacceptable designs will be declined and the artist will retain all rights to the image. Artist must include a waiver with all submitted designs pertaining to the rights of each image, which will be provided to you upon hire.

Please include your name, samples, and any related skills you have in your message and include "Graphics Artist" in the subject line.

    Is the "$10" a typo?
I ask this without sarcasm -- if you're offering a realistic wage, I would be pleased to offer my services.

The $10 is not a typo. The job pays $10 per design. This job should not be considered full-time employment, but the artist can expect large amounts of work volume over a long period of time.

Kind of. I'm responsible for handling sales, purchasing materials, printing the t-shirts, and all other aspects of the company. I need a graphics artist to create the actual artwork for the orders. I'm also attempting to launch my own fashion line that would include shirts, hoodies, hats, shoes, pants, bags, and other forms of apparel, which I will also need designs for. As the company becomes larger, I may increase the graphics artist's salary and may hire him/her as a full-time employee, but I can currently only afford $10/design as I will be needing such a large quantity of artwork. My first approach was to put out an ad on craigslist for a local artist, but it did not display properly. As the nature of the job does not strictly require a local artist, however, I decided to turn to DP.
