Hiring A Model?

Has anyone here hired a model? I'm in need of one to make some attractive banner advertisements, but don't have a clue where I can find one and how much it will cost.

    Any suggestions would be great.

Check out stock image sites, you can get model photos from there with full rights for only a few dollars. Much cheaper and faster than hiring a model and doing a shoot, though they might not be exactly what you want.

It would be much cheaper and easier to just buy images from a website and put them into your ads.

If you're trying to minimize advertising expenses, definitely stick to buying images from model featurettes.

If you need a female voiceactor/advertiser for your site for free, PM me for details and I'll show you a nifty little trick. :)

I need models to model specific pieces for my site, so stock images are not going to work. I just don't know where to hire one.

If you're located in/near a popular city, try posting a free ad on Craigslist.org under "Gigs". You should have tons of candidates to choose from.

Here is a idea that worked for me. Starting models need to put a portfolio together.
Offer them an exchange. Give them some pic that they can use in their portfolio. Maybe a link from your site to theirs. Try to avoid agents they get paid on % of the deal so the more they get for the model the more they make. Also check with your suppliers they might have photos for you tho use.

Have you tried going to www.onemodelplace.com? You search for models in your area and then you can email them and ask them about pricing and any other info you may need.

You could also contact women through such sites as hotornot.com.

There are a surprisingly large number of very attractive women with natural beauty there.

In that case, hire a fashion/professional photographer, they usually have links with up and coming models and would be able to arrange one.

There are some pretty big modelling agencies out there. You can contact one them that can usually put you in contact with people who are interested in modeling.

It will be very expensive though more than likely.

Yes, hire a professional - that's professional photographer. Make sure he or she does the paperwork correctly - the license of the photos to you and the in-writing model release (you are named as the end user).

    Where are you located?

I'm a pro shooter in California. Stills and video.
