I'm looking to hire a professional blogger to initiate an auto (car) blog on my existing site. Blogger must have previous blogging experience and supply evidence of such. Initially looking for 2-3 posts per week relating to the latest news in the industry. Must have a passion for cars and writing and spend time checking out other blogs, reading the latest industry news along with signing up to the media areas of car manufacturer's sites. I may also be looking for bloggers to write relating to pets, fashion, movies and travel. (same format)
If your first and only comment is 'What's the payment?' then this is unlikely to be the opportunity for you. I'm looking for a person to develop a long term business relationship with and to further develop an already successful site. If you are serious about finding out more about the position then please pm me with samples of your blog writing and more information about your interest in the topic. Thnx
Thanks Mimi. The articles that you have written for me are of a high standard and you charge very reasonable rates. I'm sure that I will be continuing to use your services. What I am looking for here however is someone to write regularly in an informal manner (and to a high standard), focusing on the latest developments in the automotive industry (more specifically the exotic car end). This will require ongoing monitoring of other major auto blogs (to include relevant link development) and latest news (to include registering with the media sections of relevant manufacturers' sites)
to the simple question - what's it pay? Indicates you want the work for free or next too nothing. Why not simply say so? The question is a reasonable one. "I'm looking for a person to develop a long term business relationship with and to further develop an already successful site. If you are serious about finding out more about the position then please pm me with samples of your blog writing and more information about your interest in the topic." So a long term cheap business relationship I take it. Not stating what you are willing to pay for such a position is a sure indication that you aren't serious about it.
Thanks for your feedback, I am sorry to say that you are entirely wrong. My priority is to find the right people for the positions available and my reasons for not declaring a fixed remuneration are based on the varying factors involved such as expertise and commitment to the project. I'm happy to say that one position has already been filled with another pending and I can assure you that payment is not even close to 'next to nothing'. I have a reasonable track record here at DP and those that I have done business with (including professional writers) would probably confirm that my preference is to quality, for which I am prepared to pay. So may I say thank you again for your unnecessary input to my thread.
Wow. Touchy aren't we. So you have worked with "professional writers"? That's downright amazing. <snark o writer off> Look someone asked a simple question and response was completely off base. A better answer would have been $xxx - $xxxx depending on experience. It's great you got someone to take your offer.
I think the going rate for bloggers is no different to content writers. It would depend on the quality of writing, the length of posts, etc. Thn agian, it would depend on how you pay such as whether you pay by the post, a salary.
