KATHMANDU (Reuters) - A 23-year-old Nepali man cut off his right hand after morning prayers and offered it to Kali, the Hindu goddess of power, the Annapurna Post local daily said on Wednesday. Rajesh Tajpuria, who runs a drug store in the southeastern town of Rangeli, is undergoing treatment at a hospital, it said. More than 80 percent of Nepal's 26 million people are Hindus who frequently sacrifice animals such as goats, buffaloes and roosters in temples. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/nepal_hand_dc;_ylt=Aupf9e8Fapll_ltNcDasg8ntiBIF
I would sacrifice any one of them animals for a leg over (even if she was a right romping munter) I doubt I would donate a right hand though.
When killing animals just isn't enough, nothing says love like self mutilation. I am sure Kali is very disappointed in him because he didn't offer both hands.
Man why are you behind HINDUS ???? I mean why are you stressing so much on the word HINDU ?? It could have been very clear even if you used the word once.... seems like you have some kinda hatred for them ..what makes you put those smilies in your post and thread.. think before you post !! Moron ........
Dude, dunno what is making you so ballistic.. He posted a news snippet. He didnt put the words by himself.. I dont see any hatred in that post, perhaps you are going aggresive because you are a Hindu yourself. Anyone in his right state of mind would find this act weird, chopping own hand off? That too for blind religious beliefs? Ridiculous.. Simply ridiculous.. Just think before you jump on bash wagon...
He should have just done something normal, Like metaphorically drinking the blood and eating the flesh of his god. I wonder how many times the religious have to do something stupid before people start saying "hey, Them religious people, They are stupid" instead of feeling obligated to "respect" their belief.
