Hillary, Rudy, Fred & Mitt all say, "I Have a Plan..."

    Hillary, Rudy, Fred & Mitt are all busy competing to run your life.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    "The problem is that government is not supposed to plan our lives or run the country; we are supposed to be free. That our public discourse strays so far from this principle is an unhappy sign of our times. Those who believe in limited constitutional government should worry every time a politician says, “I have a plan...”
    "...Remember, there is a simple dictionary definition for government planning of the production and provision of goods and services: socialism."
    "...Today’s political rhetoric demonstrates that the servant has become the master. Most politicians, and too many Americans, have accepted the premise that government should plan our lives and control the economy..."
    'I Have a Plan...' by Rep. Ron Paul, MD
    ~~~

    IMO, This author appears to be very literate and interesting. :)

    He never said the government shouldn't run the country, he said it should not run our lives. He's of course pointing out the growing socialistic state of our government, and its tendency to want to "nanny us from cradle to grave". It's possible to run a country without being so intrusive into people's lives and individual freedoms.

    by the way, invading Iraq wasn't so much protecting America as it was Israel. I'm all for protecting America, that's why we should've gone after bin Laden's terrorist group in Afghan/ Pakistan but we faltered. It is actually the current foreign policy that is not protecting America by spreading our forces thin over the globe where they're not needed and leaving our borders wide open.

    Who says we are?

    So you agree that surrender and not protecting America are unconstitutional?

    Thanks, that's all I wanted to hear.

    yeah. so how would becoming a non interventionist nation make us surrendering and not protecting our country? in fact that is HOW you protect the country.

    say we wage war on every other country for sh!ts and giggles soon and then later realize we made the wrong move under another president. so we pull back our forces, all of a sudden we're not protecting our country? how about the wars themselves were unconstitutional?

    you are mistaking me for someone who is anti-military. quite the opposite, but i'm not for getting in every other country's business and saying that is our role in the world. that is how we make enemies and that is how we lose wars. we lost Vietnam through this type of war, and Iraq is looking like a mess now. However we won the cold war without firing a shot. how does that work?

    do you ever think of what other countries think of us for our foreign policy? do you ever wonder why there are so many people from other countries that want Ron Paul to be our next president?

    Who said anything about non interventionist?

    I'm happy that you were able to be brainwashed in such a short period of time. I find it truly amazing and really, I am happy for you. Everyone should have that opportunity. You've found something to grab hold of and you are letting it form new opinions. That's wonderful.

    RP wants to surrender the US to terrorists. RP wants to close America off and become isolationists. He wants to eliminate current allies. He's indicated he would not defend America.

    If that's what you want, more power to you. It's not what I want. I don't believe it's what real Americans want either. As is illustrated by his marginal 2% support. As indicated by his extremely low support in New Hampshire.

    If my candidate was pushing for surrender (and I really cared about my country), demonstrated an inept ability to comprehend what's going on in the world, continued to openly take donations from white supremacist groups, pander to neo nazis, troofers, anarchists and anti-semites, perpetuate conspiracy theories, take donations from troofers, etc., I'd have questions. I'd want to know WTF is going on?

    But, that's just me. Others might turn a blind eye, as apparently they are.

    Correction, you didn't go after Bin Laden's terrorist group in Pakistan, where they found a safe heaven, nor the Pakistani leadership is allowing you to go after them.

    well then in that case i would go in their country against their will if they are not letting us in and we have good evidence they are hiding there. if they were to wage war against us because of it, so be it, at least that war would be a just one where we are rooting out and destroying the group responsible for 9/11.

    That would be invading your long time ally... US's relations with some Muslim countries are not so good, coincidently and ironically all of them were US allies once..

    Afghanistan (US helped and armed radical Islamist rebels against Soviet backed Marxist Government, and succeeded)

    Iraq (US helped Saddam on his invasion of Iran, provided him weapons and support)

    Iran (US helped Shah to overthrow elected government only to Shah being overthrown by radical Islamists few years later)

    Inavsion of Pakistan would lead to civil war between government/ Acting government/ Pro US government and Islammists). The situation would not be very different from Iraq.

    I'm not interested in their situation or how it suits them. I also am not for the funding of the groups that you listed previously. See, when you go after the groups that attack us and go after them HARD and let them know we are out to kill them, they will likely stop. But we shouldn't be meddling in others' business because we feel obligated to.

    We go in, do the job, and get out. No nation-building or policing of other nations.

    Read the Constitution. It's the greatest document in the history of the freedom movement. The President has a very clearly defined role.

    Paul is polling ahead of Thompson and Huckabee in NH. And he just kicked off the ad blitz and the 12,000 glossy mailouts to Republicans. Plus a campaign office opened last week, Operation NH PAC has been running print and tv ads for a month, and now the Operation NH :Live Free or Die group from out west is moving to NH to canvass the state non-stop for a month. Moving, renting homes and working for free.

    Fantastic post. You got it down, 100%.
