If a website has Anaylitics on it, I dont have the google log in or user name for it, but i have the ftp for the site, can I re-set it some how to get in, or do I have to wipe out the anaylitics code on the site, and install a new one?

I just don't want to loose the old data. THANKS!

you'll just have to set up new code and lose data on the old analytics account

Just you have to change the ID of it to yours and then you will be on the run for sure.

It might be worth emailing Google about this issue as, with FTP details, you can effectively prove that you have administrative rights to the site

You'll have to start all over again with new data. I know it sucks but its the only way.

Changing the analytics code would do just fine. You may contact google for other ftp issues.

I think you better wipe out the anaylitics code on the site, and install a new one.
