I heard that it is not worth competing with Keywords which have a VERY high search volume in the search engines(eg Golf =564,000,000 pages/searches in google) , but use keywords which have a lower search volume. eg. golf clubs But when looking for the ideal set of keywords to use, which dont have much competition, what types of volumes should we be looking at, approx? Eg, When starting you shouly consider keywords which have a search volume of 20,000 only..... then consider higher searched keywords after you have build up on these ones..... so what amount of search volume - (in google search for eg) should we be looking at, when considering keywords? ?
Hi, regarding search engine optimization in most instances it is better to focus on keyword phrases instead of a keyword. However, you can still do SEO for a keyword; but let the keyword phrases be the main focus and let the keyword be secondary. The reason that it is better to focus on keyword phrases is that most people who are seriously searching for something in a search engine tend to search using more specific terms which usually are contained in phrases. These people tend to generate better traffic to your website in terms of conversions. Also, the competition is much less for keyword phrases than a keyword in competitive situation. Thanks, Eric
Target keyword phrases and not only the single keywords. Use a mixture of both of them. Start from the thousands and then go for lacs and so on.
Depending on your investment. If it-s a long time investment, then go for them. If it's a short time investment, with not much resource than forget about them.
A word/phrase has high search volume not mean ppl will search that word/phrase, say when ppl search for "free dog food", "free the dog, stop eat them", "where get a free dog", they all contain phrase "free dog", but it could not give you a clear idea what ppl want, another example is word "a", it's search volumn always NO.1, but we could not target it at all, put simple, they are too vague to be targeted,
