Nothing you could do. I agree. The OP should have created the minimum bid as $0.01 instead of $1.

 

I did create this listing starting at 0.01 and you can see that if you look on the parent page to this thread. However digital point requires a minimum bid of $1. Because the bid must be placed on the auction system to be valid the min is then $1.

If you don't want to pay more than $1 for this domain then I suggest not bidding.
