Every SEO knows how important a single backlink can be and if it is an inbound link from a related webpage already indexed then you have won a great battle. I will share some highly kept secrets of SEO. I HAVE REMOVED THIS IDEA FROM HERE AS MANY FELT ITS A KIND OF SPAMMING. But What I orgiginally meant was to find relevent forums to post comments and then leave a link, which I don't feel as spamming. People think according to their tastes. Anyway, I have withdrawn it, afterall there is no pleasure in winning if you have never lost. I will share some more ideas later in my posts, but do keep posting yours too and don't misuse these for spamming please. Abhilash.
That's a highly kept secret? That seems like a widely known way to get back links slowly if you ask me.
Have to love these spammers, it's a great way of satisfying: "You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to xxxxx again."
He isn't spamming the forum. Why has he gone red? He's suggesting something that works - he just needs to automate it
I think it is enough, sebasic, you go around the forums bragging about your black hat knowledge. Cool for you if that makes you happy, but saying that guestbook spamming and similar junk is good is just too much.
I just have an issue when people get blasted for doing something they have found to work... At the end of the day, we're all in this to make money, and if spamming old, outdated, vonourable (sp?!?) guestbooks works, then why not do it? And OK, if you don't want to do it (Or don't know how), don't condemn someone who does. You always jump on new members on this forum - I just don't get why. Look Fryman - I have only ever been friendly towards you, even though there are many posts you have made that I would *certianly* disagree with. Don't start bashing me because you don't like the way things work. :| When did this become a "WH" only forum?
A suggestion: It might be a good idea to require 10 posts before you can have a 'Recent Blog' listing! That's one free back-link right there!
I am not bashing you and neither do I want to loose our cordial relationship on the forum. What I don't like is seeing you promoting this kind of junk. Geez, man, you have almost 5k posts, newbies here look up to posters like you, and last thing I would like to see is 800 people spamming guestbooks because they read here that "it works". I read somewhere (can't remember where) a sad post about someone who put up a blog dedicated to a recently deceased relative. He expected people to post supportive messages to help the family get through the difficult times, and instead of that they got bombed with all kind of scumbags putting in links to viagra and similar sites. You like doing this kind of stuff? It works for you? OK, it is your choice and It isn't my job to judge you, but why not take it to sindik8 and similar sites? Why promote this junk here? And I certanly will jump on anyone promoting this garbage, new member or not. They are messing with other people's sites.
Just because it works doesn't mean it's right. If you believe that, you might as well go rob a bank, since that'll get you rich, if you don't get busted! Over the last two days I've notice half the posts from members with less than three posts that were about some 'great idea' were from morons posting spam, there for they get bashed. If they didn't post stupid stuff then they might not get bashed! Eureka!!!!
Besides blogspot's 'nofollow', it does work. And I see no reason why the truth can't be told. It's up to the readers to decide whether they want to those those things or not, it's not like SEbasic can't talk about it. Just like you, Fryman, have the right to say 'it's a stupid idea' - similarly SEbasic can say what he thinks. Neither of you are right per se but it's simply the nature of a discussion forum that says both are OK. I don't see a need for censoring the truth. If this was questionable content, Shawn would have deleted this since he was the first mod to see this.
Oh, I sure agree with you, Sebasic is totally entitled to his opinion, and I have no problems with black had techniques, I know many of them that work like a charm... but when you start messing around with other people's sites, that's where I think you should draw the line.
I guess this is the point I'm trying to make. That's a stupid analergy and you know it - robbing a bank is illegal - spamming blogs and guestbooks isn't. Point taken I guess - I just don't think that what I'm saying is wrong. People want to make money - that's why we're all here... Spamming the SE's makes money.
First of all, everybody just mistook my idea. And it is very sad. A person just thinks what he or she does. But I did not expect so many of you to think it the wrong way. What I suggested was a means of getting a list of related forums to post their opinion on and indeed leave a link that is related to that topic. This is not spamming. If I have a real estate website and promote it by posting some coments on real estate related forum, its not spamming. If I post accross topics, then that might be spamming. And if you feel strangers are not supposed to post on forums, then I think forums will die a pre-mature death. And for those who just bashed at me.. Can you ever say with all your loyalty to yourself that you never used these things in life. If you never did then, you might not have posted so many messages on this forum too .... Abhilash
@SEbasic: Kudos for that, and let the money roll in! It is just that there needs to be a point where you need to draw a line. I don't like the idea of messing around with other sites, I hope you understand my point and realize that it is just my opinion and in no way want to get in a fight with you!. OK, everybody, group hug...
Oh god I wish people had the balls to leave their name in rep... It's not the fact I get bad rep that bothers me, it's just the fact that some spineless moron doesn't have the bottle to leave their name... Telling me what not to post on DP isn't going to change a damn thing. Go on - prove you are a big man... I won't rep you back... I just want to hear your insightful argument on BH/WH seo, since you so clearly know a lot about it.
I really get confused as to what is spam and what is not. Some people do sell blog submitter software. The Question is If it is spam, then why are these people allowed to sell these? The general impression newbies have is whatever is sold legitimately is not spam. I would like DP to throw some light on this. Abhilash
I'd say that is borderline fraud to be honest... You can't tell people to click on your adsense - which is what that page in kind of doing. Kinda... It's borderline.
