I moved three sites over, each of them gets around 1,200 views each per day. None of them performed well on AS, which is why I moved them. My top daily total for these three sites was around $10 on AS (within the last month). They have all been on Y! for a week now, my biggest day was around $2.50. The ads are so far from relevant it is a joke. Tomorrow morning, I will try blocking all the sites I am getting now (only about 5) and see if that helps any. I just don't get it. Others were earning $2 per day, and now they are earning $500. I am lucky if I get one click a day.
Ad targeting is a must, and people with smaller page sites need to keep checking all pages for non-relevant ads. I checked one site for two weeks and all ads were relevant, but I just noticed they started displaying completely non-relevant ads on some of the pages. Blocking a couple of dozen urls has got them working for now. Yahoo will need to fix that before they come out of beta. It's not good for them, the advertiser, or the publisher.
Who earned $500 from $2 per day? Seriously, i did not see much difference after swithcing to yahoo. But the thing that keeps me is Smart pricing from google is not affecting my site that much. I am now earning two sources. When i had AS as the main source, smart pricing always come and keep my daily earnings limited. Now after moving half pages to ypn, i earn like more. But not that significant.
OK, so a bit of an exaggeration, but if you look through this thread, I wasn't that far off: I have done targeting, but to no avail. Apparently the categories that are most relevant to my sites only have one available choice, so I get that one and vonage, etc. One plus is since I removed these three sites from AS, my daily average has increased quite a bit for my other sites. Not sure why, it will be interesting to see if it continues.
On one site I made 65 on my first day with YPN. That site typically makes 13 a day with Adsense. CTR is way down with YPN but CPC is insanely high. Higher than even the first few months of the Adsense program when Google had high CPCs. This scenario just can't be sustainable over time.
damn, I got excited once about 20$ one day on YPN, which is sad since in the original google days I had no problem pulling in low XXX a day
I've never been able to pull over $12 in a day on adsense, I have low CPC rates for my keywords. Moving to Y!PN was a great success so far and I hope to continue. After we launch our site I'm sure we will move to self-managed CPC instead of adsense or Y!PN. We will see when the time comes.
I just had a click worth over $30.00!!! That one click was worth more than my highest earnings day... before yesterday!!!!
guys if you're gonna say something like $x,xxx or $xxx... please post a frickin screen shot. Cuz thats ridicilous. I use Google Adsense i dont know if i should switch to Yahoo! yet, although with google im making like 7$ lol... its terrible. But im worried that YPN will be irrelevant ads.
With only the daily revenue being updated for the current day, how could you possibly know that just one click was worth $30?
$x,xxx isnt ridiculous... There are quite a few making that using Adsense... Or at least were back in the day. I do not wish to disclose any of my own earnings, but I will be say that a $x,xxx daily average is not incredibly uncommon.
about how many impressions would u need for that lol? atleast 4000 daily. Although there are a lot of sites out there that do get 4000, its still not too common. All i am saying is, tell us the website u own, and perhaps a statistic of how many impression. Just putting out a number, makes me believe you're exagerating or bsing.
Maybe 4000 with a very high paying keyword on your website, but it would change with every site I assume. I still wish to stay mute on my own statistics, I am not sure how Yahoo takes to sharing statistics publically.
Actually it's very common. 4000 is not very many. I would imagine that some of these guys making xxxx per day are in the range of 400000 impressions per day.
