Just wondering who had the highest jumps in PR with the recent Google PR update...

    Mine is:

    Uncover China
    http://www.uncoverchina.com
    PR 0 > PR 5.

Also, I've noticed that uncoverthenet.com has had it's PR reduced from 8 > 0! I wonder if it's been blacklisted...

I had a new site with no links (that I know of) go from PR0 to PR5 and the only content was a photo and the text "coming soon". Google and yahoo shows no backlinks and the domain was not previous registered. I thought it was a mistake, but McDar shows the PR in the different data centers. I had 4 other new sites go from 0 to PR5, but they had content and backlinks. I've seen odd PR before, but nothing like this in 8 years. I guess I better develop the site before the next update.

Is it too early to start making "When's the next PR update" posts? :)

I forgot about that milliondollarhomepage site...I guess he's the winner of the highest PR jump and uncoverthenet is the winner of the highest PR loss?

If the page with the PR7 link on it didnt have many outbound links on it then in theory yes. Of course, thats unofficial and no-one actually knows but from my experience i would say so. One of my PR6 sites linked to a new PR0 site which had virtually no other backlinks and the new site went from 0->5

Certainly a PR 7 link would get you there faster, but you could get to a PR 6 without a higher PR link. Of course, some 5s and 6s would help.

The highest I had were two sites that jumped from pr 0 to pr 4. That is the first time that has ever happened in fact. I could say this latest Google update has been the best I've had so far.

Built a site purely for three way and parallel links
bought one pr 7 link from a DP member, and paid for directory submissions from another DP member Site went 0 - pr6 in one jump and also hasn't gone in the sandbox yet after about 7 weeks:confused:

No Mark.. You can get PR7 with only PR5's and PR6's too.

But you will need a lot more.

And anyway. A single link from a PR4 could count more than a single link on a PR7 , if outbound links on the PR4 are 0 (except yours) and on the PR7 are like 20 or so.

    :)
