$1.98 surely you can only ever tell for the first click of the day, because you cant break earnings do into indiv clicks?
Is it at all possible that a really high paying click is actaully not a click at all but CPM fees/proceeds? (i.e, someone pays $XX.xx to advertise on your site only, per 1000 impressions, etc.)
I wonder that myself... How does Google pay you for showing ads paid by impressions if not by showing clicks?
Not likely. I run a news site that reprints curious news and I track how much each article makes. My highers click ever was $2.75 and my highest average click was $1.20 for 50+ clicks. But that's an exception, not the rule. The average CPC for my site is 40 cents per click but some pages consistently deliver 70, 80 even 90 cent average EPC. The big secret is to track what each page makes and see what ads are being clicked. A tracking script will show you a URL of the ad. You can then use a AdSense preview tool to figure out what the ad that was clicked said. This will usually give you a clue what trigger keyword or key phrase was (it's usually part of an ad). This will help you figure out what niche pays what. It's really strange but what makes most money isn't what being touted as high paying keywords.
What!!! My highest from DP was about $1.5 and recently I haven't been getting any clicks from DP! Anyway errmm my clicks are low... I have 1 site that maxed out about $0.50... another about $1.25 or so... Need to increase traffic to the sites to make anything significant!
