I'm sure these have already been mentioned over the course of this thread, but here are a couple of high paying keywords that could actually be used to create a site or blog that was more than just an MFA:

Forex, LSAT, MCAT and Stocks (hence my blog)

When I was an Internet marketing noob I bought those keyword lists..

TOTAL waste of money. Just write about what you love.. creating more MFA (made for adsense) pages will not make you rich overnight, and certainly won't make you successful in the longterm.

Unless.. any MFA-pro would like to step forward and show us their checks from Google, name included for all to see? :)

I agree fezbucks, but it is worth doing some research and finding out a good combination of interest/high paying keywords. It's important to like your topic, but it's also helpful if your topic pays more than $0.01 per click.

Folks what was the largest CPC that you ever got from Google? My personal record is 70 cents. It would have been nice to also get a couple of hundred clicks that day :)

    I have recived $5

its ok knowing how much avg is paid for a word, its more usefull to know how often that kewword is paid for, its ok making a site with kewqords for $60, but there are say 5 clicks a day on that kewword, better to have a $10 kewword with 100,000 clicks a day ;)

I would rather attract more traffic to my site and add more useful content to it rather than running for keywords which don't actually pay as much as they are talked about.

mesothelioma terms apparently pay like $50 per click.

i actually had a meso site for a while but the most we ever saw were $1-1.50.

the highest CPC I've seen is mortgage related terms and came in at $2 or so.

I'd rather focus on avoiding low paying keywords then making websites only for high paying keywords. You can make a lot of money with 30-50 cents clicks, which is quite common. Just try to avoid low paying ones, in 5 cents range. These are killing me!!

Do you have a magic solution for avoiding low paying keywords? I get so frurstrated sometimes. One day I get 20 to 60 cents clicks, the other day I get 5, 7, 12 cents clicks - go figure

Frankly, at this point I refuse to beleive that there is some kind of "magic" formula. Also, I do beleive that Google is changing the keyword payout depending on how you are trying to make money.

Here is an example. One of my sites is an affiliate site - mostly landing pages. I get some decent traffic from SEs and Google used to pay me somewhere around 30 cents per click.

Then, I started an AdWords campaign running for that site. The first day the revenue from AdSense exceeded the amount I spent on AdWords. I was extatic - I thought I had a magic formula for adverising my affiliate products and NOT paying for it!

Google hit me next day. My AdSense brought me 10% of what I spent on AdWords...

No, this is a big misconception. These are the values displayed on Overture, but that is the highest advertiser's bid, not what you get for every click.

The problem with trying to build a site like this is that it is going to suck, and you are just going to be adding to the millions of other MFA sites out there. It's ok to research high paying keywords, but at least pick something that you are knowledgable about and can make an interesting site/blog around.
