Higher PR Links for Specific Product Pages?

    Hi,

    Goal: To improve SERPs for specific product pages.

    Do you prefer to point High PR links with custom anchor text to the home page or directly to specific (product) pages?

    If you are improving the ranking of a specific page on your site, links should point to that page using the keywords you are targetting. It is also preferable that those keywords be sprinkled on the page as well.

    whatever is more relevant. think of the user. if the best user experience is to send to the product page, over the long haul, that would probably be best

    I get both types of backlinks. Links to specific internal pages have done magic to some of my sites.
