with all response, i can tell that high page rank do have more often crawls. thats why it so important to have more backlinks from the high pr pages - youe website will be crawled even more often.
the principle of attraction will work here too - high pr sites go higher
for young websites it is very important to have some high pr backlinks to good start.

 

Any way, has high PR is a good thing
