Hi there. I have got my website up to position 11 on Google for the major keyword phrase on one of my websites, which is a fairly competitive phrase. I did so mainly through linkbait, but also through networking with bloggers in my field to get a lot of them to link to me, renting the odd high authority link, and submitting to quality directories. I have a very good, 'clean', natural link profile. Now I am wondering how to break from the top of the 2nd page, onto the first page and up into the top 5.... I see all of these "Manual Submit to 100/300/1000 etc directories" in the Services section of DP, and I am thinking about using them. The thing is, would getting 1000 not very high quality links hurt my link profile, and lose any trust with google in the process? Or is any non-reciprocal link good news that can only help push me up into the top 5 of google from my current position? Please let me know whether you think these bulk manual link submissions have any risks, and if not, how effective have any of you found them to be? Reply below, or vote in the simplified poll. Also, which of the manual directory submission services do you think is the best?
How many links does your site have according to yahoo? If its got loads of great quality links then directory submission might help. If its got less than 1000 then you would be diluting your quality links with low quality links which might do more harm than good in the long rung. I suggest you keep doing what you are doing.
I have 2,372 in Yahoo. That is partly because of a few sitewide blogroll links from high-quality bloggers in my field that I picked up (without asking!) I would like to keep doing what I have been doing, but I have basically run out of new relevant blogs to get to link to me, and am having trouble thinking of new linkbait ideas that will work! I'm all burnt out!
Some do, but you do run the risk of spam. I suggest a service such as http://www.theseokit.com/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=4 just a example!
Directories are a good place to start for getting inbound links but should not be your only source. Writing articles is a excellent suggestion to get additional inbound links.
Try Alfredo - I've used him and I'm happy with his service. I wouldn't recommend doing everything at once though. try 100 submissions per month for the next 7 months for maximum impact.
Installing Roboform, setting the needed details (title, url, e-mail, keywords, description, reciprocal etc. etc.) submitting your website to directoris found on DP or directorycritic and after some months experiences making a list (related your subscriptions results) and using it on next domain subscriptions. I know that your question is about a third hand who make the job, if you don't have enough time to do it , hopefully will take the job one boy who will follow steps according my instructions
That s mean I can ruin his link profile by paying somebody few bucks to submist his website to some free directories. Do you have any proof about the bad impact of submitting a website to free directories. I tried that many times and it helps a little bit at least.
thanks to everyone for the suggestions and votes so far. it seems there is no clear conclusion yet... so keep on commenting and voting your recommendations! the article writing and submitting is a good suggestion. i have not got round to that yet, as at the moment with my day job i am struggling to devote enough time to keep writing quality content on my blog. BUT, i will get around to it...
