High Server load

    Hello, I am experience very high server load after updating my vbulletin forum to its new version.
    My load averages around 40 which is crashing my server again and again.

    My traffic is same as before

    Can anyone tell me whats wrong with my server and how to fix that

    I would suggest some fine tuning of your MySQL and Apache servers. You should also look into a php caching system if you have not done so already. If your server is managed, I would get in touch with your host.

    Is it a managed server? Do you use a control panel?

    Yes it is managed. I am using kloxo (lxadmin)

    I am getting database errors also.

    Sounds like you have multiple things going wrong. From the looks of that error, I am going to say there is a plugin that is not functioning correct, perhaps to do with post thanks. Try disabling that plugin, and see if the error goes away.

    Glad to hear one thing has been cleared up.

    I would start looking at your Apache installation. Try tweaking some settings, like KeepAlive, MaxClients and min and max servers. Do you know if you have a php caching engine running?

    Try to use mysqltuner to optimize your mysql.
