Hey guys, I found a couple good keywords that I am looking at building a site and attacking those words. My concern is the keyword is affiliated with a huge company. The keyword that I am aiming for mostly however has nearly 4 million global monthly searches and low competition according to Keyword Tool. That is according to exact phrases... the broad search brings it to nearly 60 million global and 2.2 mill local. How hard would it be to rank it on first page? Does the keyword tool even matter if that specific keyword does not have any AdWords on the right hand side - not sure what that means. Any help at all would be appreciated... its hard for me to explain it without saying what the keyword is but I cant for obvious reasons.
More than likely, the company affiliated with this word has a trademark on the word. This would explain why there's no Adwords ads showing on searches. If you build a website targeting this word, it's possible they could come after you for trademark infringement if this is the case. But even if they don't own the word, it's unlikely that you'll see much traffic. If it's affiliated with another company, then searchers are probably looking for this company's website -- not yours. So unless you have a good "angle" to drive people to your website instead of theirs, you probbly won't see many visitors or conversions, even though it generates lots of searches...

Something like mopvideo, where its streaming off another host but on my site... Would that fall under the copyright infregement and would focusing SEO on that drive traffic you think?
