    Hi guys ...

I have an exact match info domain.
Is it possible to take to the first place for the keywords it holds ?

I have no experience with info domains :(

    Thanks

I have read a few posts that have dealt with this and they were in fact able to get 1st page for their keyword

Yes, of course. The only reason you don't usually see them is that they are not very popular.

I have to confirm again and again - .info domain has no positive nor negative towards SEO effect neither. It is a common domain extension like com/net/biz/org and you can use info domain to archive high ranking as you wanted by done properly SEO process.

I have experiences doing SEO for info websites to archive high ranking in medium to high competitive degree keywords. I will not disclose the domain and keyword here since it is my privacy. I hate to see some bullshit reply about negative SEO effect toward info domain, while most of them never doing any SEO on info domain themselves ever!! How could they saying that? Isn't a crap when someone try to be smart when they know nothing about what they just said? I would encourage you doing some contribute instead of reply with BS just solely to increase your post count purpose.

    Why wouldn't it be possible?

I know .info has a bad rep and wouldn't be your first choice, but you've got to think that given enough off page effort and the small added bonus of an exact match, it would certainly be possible.

I don't think it's a lot harder. Just people who want to rank high have more money/resources so put more effort into it. Also .com has been around longer so you see more of them.

...and the bad rep is with people rather than google. I don't think google can penalize every .info just because some are used a spam sits.
