I am currently selling one of my gaming websites. I originally had this website developed before the xbox360 release, and had the hopes of developing it into something big. The entire system is ALL custom, and nothing used from other peices of code. The only thing not custom is the forums and all related mods for the forums. The front page uses a nice flash system for you to select what part of the image to use, zoom in/out etc. Also, there are many articles currently on the website, and they are ALL custom written.

I invested 4 figures in the site, and just never had the time to develop it.

As many of you know, I am cleaning out alot of my websites that I had developed and never worked on, and this is one of them.
This is the chance for someone to get something fairly cheap and can easily turn it into a very large website if they have the dedication and motivation.

Anyways, xbox360galaxy.com did use to have alot of traffic, and as you can see the forums had some activity back when I spent a little time wokring on it. That was over a year ago.
The website peaked at 12,500 uniques in the month of April, and is currently averaging 2500 or so uniques a month from NO UPDATES OR ANYTHING. I Have done NOTHING to the site in about a year, no new articles, nothing at all, and it is still getting traffic.

Revenue Details:

I have no clue what the websites current revenue is. I am a member of John Chows TTZ Media and was making a pretty nice amount of cash from the links to products in the articles, but not sure how much exactly. I believe it may of been mid to upper 3 figures a month.

Those are somewhat current stats (from march)
I would show may stats but AWSTATS wasnt running untill May 9th, so I only have a few days. The server was down and I had issues with it, which is why it wasnt running.

Also, I see where you're coming from, but like I said the entire system is custom coded, and has alot of features such as image and video gallery for each game (and they are linked between games as well, so multiple articles on the same game show the videos and iamges for that GAME not for that article) etc.

Also, the site has alot of other things like mod-rewrite for better SERP's, and tons of articles that I hired people to write.

I had a $10,000 offer about a year ago, but I declined it because I foolishly thought I'd have time to get the website going, because in reality I felt it could pretty easily become a 5 figure/month website (sponsors, ads, etc, not very difficult)
That is how I justify the $7500 BIN, plus all of the money and time I had originally put into the site.

This site is ready to roll, just needs some TLC

Not sure how you think 1k is alot for a dead site. Did you actually take a look at the site?
I've been in the website industry for over 5 years and have had many very successful websites.
Traffic is not the only value of a website. Take a look at all the custom articles, and everything else that's setup for you.
By your philosophy, a computer that is fully built except it doesnt have the power supply is worth very little? Definately not the way to look at something IMO.
