I run an automotive site with PR 3. Will a PR7 link from a say general news site with a small automotive section beneficial for my site?. Recommended or not?

    Thx!

If there is a good amount of automotive content on the page...that would be much better.

I will not suggest you to go with this website. Beause search eninge check for relevance for backlink. But you can search for automotive website for link exchnage

Yes it can help. I have bought irrelevant links and had good allinanchor movement. I have bought relevant links and had no allinanchor movement. There are many factors involved in whether a link passes serps improvements.

Relevancy itself doesn't determine the quality of a backlink though. It is just ONE of the elements for a quality link.

Suppose this PR7 is from authoritive site in that niche, then I would assume this could be very helpful regardless of the relevancy. Of course if you can get a relevant website, it is even better.

I just don't like to think irrelevant link = no quality.
