I have just had my two pages submited to directories with PR5 and higher, but now that I went to check it out I noticed that the page where my link appears on has PR1 or even 0, whereas the main page does have a high PR. Does that mean it is actually no use submiting to such directories PR wise?
It is better if the pages where your link appears, have page rank. Even PR1 should be of that page. Then it make sance PR wise.
This is some i got from Max pain. The PR of the main sub-direcotry passes (a bit diminished value though .. like a PR4 domain will have pr3 as sub-page PR) on to the subpages during each PR update The inner sub category pages will get a PR in the next PR update. And the best value in getting listed in the appropriate category (with or without PR) is that you get related links (As the category is related) there by making it better for the search engines to catgorize your website, thus giving particularly good results for that category. Once agian, i have not written the above, Max has.
