dont focus on high paying keywords. focus on total retun of investment/time. at the end, you will need traffic to make money and get clicks. more traffic you get, more clicks will be there and more money you will make. so target a niche which will be easier for you to market and get visitors
dose the keywords you would spend alot of money on.... mean that you will get the same in return.. or atleast close....
You have two options assuming that you already have targeted traffic for the content before considering the below ( and that CTR is the same which will never be the case as it will differ from site to site even if your layout is the same ): 1) Choose target keyword phrases that are lower paying and have lower advertiser interest and get more visitors to earn your revenue or 2) Choose higher paying target keyword phrases and require fewer visitors to earn the same amount. All things being equal you will require far less visitors to a site built around high paying keywords than you will if you just 'follow your passion' which may pay you very little if you are focusing solely on Adsense. Think about this: Would you rather target a low paying niche with low paying keywords and get paid an average of 5 cents a click or a higher paying niche that averages much more per click ( in some cases well over a $1 a click ). - Dean
You`d need to check a niche that has alot of people fighting for the same keywords. Then you`ll know you`ll receive good high CPC keywords.
