I was wondering if there was a way to find out when searching for a niche to create a website for if there was a tool to get like what the basic amount you receive per click for ads relating to that niche. I hope I'm asking this right Basically I want to find out what the average click will get me for a niche. I could of course build the sites but I would basically have to guess lol So I figured there had to be a way out there to find out what the high paying keywords were.
Yep, Overture is the way to go! http://inventory.overture.com To compare two search terms for traffic, I use Google trends. You can put commas in search terms on Google Terms to compare two items.
I don't know if this page is outdated or not (i've had it bookmarked for a long time now) but you can check it out: http://www.sorve.com/adsense.htm
todays top 3 paying keywords are: Keyword: houston criminal attorney Todays top Adwords bid($)45.63 Todays highest Adsense Payout($)37.552 Keyword: consolidate student loans Todays top Adwords bid($)42.93 Todays highest Adsense Payout($)36.504 Keyword:san diego criminal lawyer Todays top Adwords bid($)40.90 Todays highest Adsense Payout($)27.344
Overture is the easiest free way to do this. http://www.pixelfast.com/overture/ allows you to see bid amounts along with the number of searches the previous month. If you are looking for the best way, WordTracker is hard to beat.
Ignore what others are saying. OVERTURE IS NOT THE WAY TO GO, NOR ARE KEYWORD LISTS (which are overture based, so it's the same thing). The best way to go is to see what works for other adsensers. This information isn't stored anywhere centrally, but if you read forums or even Google AdSense Blog, you'll get the idea. Personally, I've been a huge fan of NicheGeek. It's not as accurate as I'd like it to be, but I found 80 cent niches that nobody ever mentioned. I check their postings daily and the niches they recommend (and they recommend only niches that where tested with AdSense) are anything but what keyword lists mention (like car insurance or debt consolidation). Consider the niches they published recently (I'm testing those myself right now): wrinke cream self-publishing print on demand traveling nurse nursing school public speaking trademark registration These are never mentioned as high paying. But a lot of niches that I uncovered with the help of NicheGeek are very profitable. Like I said, 80 cents per click on average and 3 dollars per click max - that's what I was able to get. I wish I found a way to get more traffic to my sites. I'd be a millionaire.
