High paying ads, low CTR

After 3 days of no earnings I finally got 2 clicks (CTR still under 2%) but it came out to almost $1 each:D

Any explanation for this? I rarely get clicks.. I can go days without any but when I do, they're high paying ones..

P.S: Traffic is under... 300 hits a day

Don't worry me niether! And im still at it after 17 months and only about $12 earnings. But i think it may be because you only have 300 impressions a day.. i have over 1000 and only get maybe 1 or none most of the time!

    Hi,
    That is good...

It is better to have few high paying clicks than lots of low paying clicks..

Just try to blennd urs ads a bit more..

    All the best..

    Regards,

    Thanks.

But I've already blended them pretty well already (legally too). Hmm, I should probably work on content then? And Traffic?

    The CTR is so low:eek:

With that traffic you can't expect lots and lots of clicks...Try to optimize you ad position and colors...

How would I blend it even more?

    mojopixels

I don't want to break any TOS (at the moment, it's 100% ok because I e-mailed google to get it reviewed).

Someone said the graphics were distracting so I made them less.. colorful and vibrant (if you view the tutorial thumbnails..)

    Thanks.

You can't really do much more than that, without being a little skecthy.

Nice blending, how about the font? The one AdSense has is "Verdana, 10px" but yours looks more like "Arial, 8pt"

Good one! I never though of that. Does anyone know the exact font style CSS code and style for this?

    And BTW, you're right, it's arial ;)

Well, I'm quite particular with fonts when blending the ads. Although mine is nowhere near as nice as yours.

Anyway, depending on the ads format, AdSense uses either Verdana,10px, or Arial with varying sizes (10px, 8pt, 10pt, etc)

Well this is good for you that you get more than $1 click. Without too much traffic you cannot earn good money.
