when i was searching some information i payed an attention on the PR level of sites they were of course different but that one above- had lower PR... Can somebody explain what does it mean?
I use PageRank as just a guide or first look. One of my sites is www. ipodspeakerreviews .com and currently it has a PR3. for the search term "iPod Speakers" I trade the number one spot with Cnet which has a PR6. PageRank is just one of many factors that determines ranking. Hope this helps!
Page Rank is only a guide....if you check a few pages with same ranks, you will soon discover a dramatic difference in traffic. It does help when sorting sites you may want to reference Hope that helps some Leo Hanes
This is correct, high PR does not guarantee anything. But it is useful as a gauge on the authority of the website.
Yes, it does not mean that if you have a high PR you have also high in SERP. That two has no relation to each other.
It's true that high PR does not guarantee highrankings in SERP . PR is just a rating or let's just say it's a popularity rating; and SERP ranking doesn't rely only with those but also with the content of a site
Page Rank depends on the number of incoming links you have. Nothing to do with SERP. Reason is simple. Anyone can buy Page Rank. If it is linked to SERP, means they can buy SERPS too. Then SERPS become SEWERS.
