10k/mth (USD) is the median salary of a specialist doctor (e.g. oncologist, obstetrician) in Singapore, based on a government survey here.

    I definitely consider 10k/mth high.

    Before or after taxes?

At the moment I consider $100 to be high. The fact that I'm strugglin to get off the ground myself factors in of course. I would need a bit over $200 daily to make a living out of it (would be about $100 "in the pocket" after taxes), a bit more to be comfortable.

Are we talking high earner = adsense earnings? Then I agree that 10k is a high earner. Otherwise I vote for 100k.

$100/day is only $3000 per month.
I mean most people in the UK probably earn around that, but that is not enough to make a good easy living from.

I think you are considered rich if you earn above $150,000-$200,000, so I think $10,000/month from adsense is a good "high earner" level.

$10K (USD) would be heaven especially if the cost of living in your own country is low.

    I peak at around $300 USD/day with AdSense but I have only had a few 10k/months. I guess I'm a high earner. :D

well the bad thing is $10K/month is not really 10K.. you gotta have some expenses: hosting, domains, software, freelancers etc.. and you gotta have to pay taxes... so if you got a half of it left you're lucky :p

    You are right on Michael!

1/3 off the top for the Government, then add your other expenses. Still, it's nice to have the extra income!

It's time for the flat tax :)

That depends how you live in California. If you live in your Westphalia and work at a surf shop so you can get free wax, 10k buys a lot of fish tacos.
