Hey guys, Over the course of past 3 weeks I have an average CTR of 38%. Is this too much? Should I be worried about getting banned? Is it safe to say that the ad placement on this site is optimized to the max or higher average CTRs are possible? thanks.
You should be worried, because thats far too high. I think Google should be on your back soon. How many impressions are you getting lately?
Getting on average 70 impressions/day. It's a simple site with 10 articles and adsense ads. All ads are clearly visible, 3 ad units, no tricks, not doing anything against TOS. What can I do to prevent my account from getting banned? I'm new to adsense but are you certain that this sort of CTR is unusual and will result in some sort of action done against me?
38% daimn..... i do not know what to say... i had like 6% CTR and i got banned... i wish you luck not to get banned
I have niche sites that get similar CTR and have been doing so for years. You have nothing to worry about as long as you are not violating adsense TOS. There is no CTR that will get you automatically banned. 70 impressions is a pretty low number and CTR over 50% is not unheard of - especially on very targeted niches.
i do not remember the reason .. taht was like almoast 3 years back i think was because of teh palcement of ads or somethign like that
I have a site that gets about the same CTR. It has been up for about 16 months and adsense has no problem with it. It has a low page impression which is under 100 a day. The CTR will not get you banned. Violating the TOS will. Make sure you stick to the TOS and you will be fine.
If this are all natural clicks everything should be ok, I have about 20-30% at some websites since 2 years and everything is fine, but I must say that 38% is very high, I've never had such high CTR. Maybe try to place ads somewhere else to decrease it.
i know that everything that's bigger than 15% CTR would get google's attention :| they'll keep all eyes on you
