    Hi,

My CTR on Adsense-content is less than 1%, but the CTR on Adsense-search is like 40%-60%.
What does it tells me? Also, my earning on click is in $0.0x, while on adsense-search is $0.xx.

Why am I earning more on google search then the actual click on ads?
Not that I am not happy about it, but just curious.

Maybe its the content/theme of your site, or how well you placed the Google Search. Obviously, some type of sites will do better than others with their search feature. (ie. If you have lots of links, then people will want to search for a specific thing theyre looking for)

    Thanks,
Theme and placement explains the popularity of Adsense-search.

    What about the pay discripancy?
I thought, search engine results are not paid.

Sponsored results are shown on the SERP produced by your AdSense for search.
When someone click on it, you earn like what you did on the normal ads.
You have high CTR might because not many people made queries, and they thought the ads are a part of the search results.

with a good search box placement you'll always have high CTR since everyone clicks on first three results which almost every time are ads. and also, if 20 users use the search and 2 click an ad you have a CTR of 10% but if you have 2000 page impressions and 20 clicks you'll have a CTR of 1%

I recently found out that you can figure out what people search for through the adsense stats. Do that and write articles about the stuff people are looking for. This should help you get pages where more interesting ads show up. But either way, unless you have a technical site, your CTR is way low. I'd consider thinking about whether your adplacement and colorschemes are optimized.
