I have been getting really high CTR of 10% for the last 3 days and this worries me. I got no idea why this is happening. Traffic is normal. Normally I'm only getting less than 2%. Do you think I should inform Google about this?
I received the dreaded account-disabled letter after I email them about it. Guess it doesn't pay to be honest?
I have never seen them disabling accounts when you tell about high CTR! They have damm good system to track click fraud...remember even if you used google search for once, they put a tracking number in your system, and then they can track all your search + clicking history even if you have a dynamic IP! And you can't easily delete these google tracking ID, which is unique for every system....but there are still ways to do this! But google use some very advanced tools to detect click fraud, so most of the time when they disable account it is for valid reasons.... But there are some exceptions where they re-enable the accounts after some request, and they find the reason valid!
But then again, if someone is aware about their system, and how they track the click fraud, then can fake google to believe that it is click fraud, and let your account disabled! This is one very big flaw i think is with adsense, that if anyone want they can easily get your accounts disabled
I received their standard email after I told them about the CTR on the 12th Hi xxxxxx, Thanks for letting us know about this situation.
