Hi, could you tell me if there is such a thing as a dangerously high CTR? I currently get a CTR of about 20 - 30% from only 100 - 200 page impressions. Is this something Google will look at or is it normal???? Here is a sample page - http://www.gotapartments4u.com/sacramento/sacramento-apartments.htm
Sure, there is CTR that will have your account investigated but if you are nto breaking ToS you will be fine. So it's not dangerous unless you are breaking rules. Although I wouldn't have expected such a high CTR from your current placement.
That's a nice problem to have. My CTR has been plummeting like crazy lately because more and more readers have become regular daily readers. I think they're developing ad blindness. I'm sure if you go past 10-15%, you're going to get the attention of Google.
It all depends on the site. I have a few sites that get up to 50% on a hundred hits a day. My average has been 13 to 15% over all sites. The ads running on your site make a big difference also. I have seen some ads get very high click thru and then i get low click thru when they are not on my site.
High CTR will definitely flag your account and Google will review it. If you haven't broke the TOS and policy of adsense, just ignore it.
I get new visitors every day. It's just that the number of repeat visitors is growing faster. I guess that's one of the bad things about having new and unique content daily. People come back and just read. Fortunately, my affiliate earnings haven't gone down.
High CTR is dangerous. Don't go too high then the chances being banned higher. My CTR is only 0,50% average.
For high traffic sites 1%-5% is quite normal. Low traffic can have even 300% CTR and this is not good. For me everything above 5% is not much stable and not recommended.
