High Bids+Relevant site and Ad = Ads not showing ???

    Hello,

I have an ad for web hosting, today I created Ad group with key words:

    "web hosting"
    web hosting
    -some negative keywords

I bid almost $2 so my ad should appear at least somewhere... Also set my budget high... even too high maybe.

The problem is when I search for phrase like "good and cheap web hosting" or "web hosting with cheap domain" and of course good, and, cheap, domain, with arent my negative keywords - my ad isnt showing anywhere... 1st 2nd 3rd etc etc search results page. It US targeted - I live in poland but I was using adpreview, proxies, have english OS etc etc - from my experience I know how my other US ads are showing so don't knowing how to check isnt the problem.

    Anybody?

What does the Ads Diagnostic Tool say?
    (in Adwords, under Tools)

Umm, to see your ad in US, you should add &gl=us to the end of the url, so you can see US ads.

Search for 'hosting' and add that to the end of the url and press enter.

If it says poor quality score then you have a poor landing page. You must optimize that way you can lower your CPC and get higher positions.

My page is content rich article. Based on my competitors. Looks very similar etc. They ads are being shown - mine not.

But just take a look again - when I add any exact phrase like [very good and ultra cheap hosting] It is being shown. When I try to make it this way:

    "cheap hosting"
    cheap hosting

and then check if my ad is being shown for 'very good and ultra cheap hosting' it's not...

I cant believe in this - first time ever happened.

Well, [very good and cheap hosting] is a phrase that NOBODY looks for, but cheap hosting is a very common phrase, you should be more specific, like if your hosting offers 500 gb space, then you should try to use keywods like '500 gb hosting' or something similar.

Be more specific and targeted, that way you can filter all who aren't interested in your service and the competition will be a lot lower, hence bids will go down.

Also make sure your keywords appear on the landing page itself multiply times.

Apreciate your tips, but I already known that. That one phrase I gave was only an example. I will try to optimize meta tags, because they were really skipped when I was developing my website (with the intent to advertise via AdWords). But It still makes me litlle disapointed. Never experienced that in other niches...

It's an utopia to have hundred phrases and mention them 5 more times on your website.

And one more thing, their (my competitors) ads and webpages aren't optimized for [mega cheap hosting], just perform a search and see for yourself their ads and websites do not mention mega... I could give you a lot of examples.

    For me it's unfair... just.

Hmm, first, they can be paying $5 per click for their ads to show up.

Second, maybe your campaign is new and it needs to be approved.

Try to target countries like Canada and Uk, maybe you'll get some impressions there.

You know, I am willing to pay even $6-$7 dollars per click, and I did this with success before but my list was the one with only exact phrases. Now I want to make it easier - that's why I want to use not only exact phrases, because some ppl are very unique and they do make very unique searches...

and web hosting are too general keywords be specific with your ads and construct your ad which is very specific with your audience

you know - there is technique, pretty nice one - creating landing pages for very general phrases and make ppl trust your articles/reviews/tips - they will stick with you and buy from you - tested!

But now I wanna make quite longer list. And it seems that I am going to create this manualy using exact phrases.

    Mactep,

Did you check/consider everything on this page?

My shot in the dark guess would be that by now you're seeing impressions in your account but you're not personally seeing your ad due to limited distribution due to your daily budget.

Daily budget is very high - the one google recommended me. Like I said when I use diagnostic tool for some phrases it say too low cpc or poor QS.

But when I add this phrase in my list like [keyword] it is showing.

However - Google estimates that my ad will get about 400-600 clicks / day BUT huh I am getting 200... but IMPRESSIONS and few click [ctr 2%+]

It's been my experience that Google's estimates are always off, most of the time by a considerable amount.

    But sometimes it works.

What do you think getting cheap clicks from all over the world? Is it worthless or you have some succes stories? I've always skipped it.
