There`s been one question that`s been bugging me for some time now... I read the forums and I`ve noticed that alot of the "more successful" affiliates sometimes manege to pay like 10$+ per click and still have much success with that keyword... How do you manege to get to this level? are you in a outbidding war against other affiliates and ure bidding to say at the 1st page? or is it just the type of keyword that google charges you alot to use it?? or maybe your landing pages are just crappy or something that u need to pay that much per click to keep up witht he competition? and also, if ure end up paying 10$+/click is it only used for high comission products?? please answer, tony
How do you manege to get to this level? are you in a outbidding war against other affiliates and ure bidding to say at the 1st page? Yes its a bidding war for get on the top for highly relevant and converting keywords or is it just the type of keyword that google charges you alot to use it?? Google does not control the price hike... we do or maybe your landing pages are just crappy or something that u need to pay that much per click to keep up witht he competition? If we are willing to pay $10 per click, trust me, we do some really in depth landing page development and traffic analysis to ensure every visiting person has a good chance of converting and also, if ure end up paying 10$+/click is it only used for high comission products?? Usually the more expensive the keyword, the more profit there is to be made. ROI is reciprocated to costs, nobody is just throwing money out there for no reason. Well, maybe some people are, but I make sure every penny spent is worth the investment
google has a very good idea of how much a keyword cost and which KW can convert to how much. also, there are others in the same industry who are competing against each others which drive the bid cost higher. but top advertisers who are paying that much for a KW, they are doing it knowingly. they know how many click will bring them one conversion and how much they will get per sale/conversion.
hm... but how many advertisers there are usually competing so a keyword would cost like 10$+?? and for what position you are usually aiming if there are alot of competition?... I wouldnt know that cos for my campaign there is almost no competition, sometimes there are 1-3 ads along with mine but mine`s almost always on top, that goes for both google adwords and YSM, so usually I pay only like 0.10-0.15$ per click for a VERY broad keyword
If people are paying $10 per keyword, then odds are they're making money doing it. They could be promoting something with a very high payout, or have a backend system in place where they sell to the person multiple times in the future.
