Hiding url. Against TOS?

I notice you can hide the Adsense url by setting the same color of the background and url.

    Example:
    Link: 000080 (Blue)
    Text: 000000 (Black)
    URL: FFFFFF (White)
    Backgorund: FFFFFF (White)

    Will it be against TOS?

Yes that is against the TOS. I seen it the other day while creating a banner.

I actually don't get advertiser URLs on many of my ads and I don't hide them - why would this be? Any ideas? (Actually, having just checked - the URL appears on banner ads but not on leaderboard ads - all same configuration. Wierd.)

    No probs Sara ;)

Regarding the original question by AdsenseAddict - I think if you try to blend the url Adsense will automatically set a default colour so it cannot be hidden.

That's true. It won't allow the url to be blended into the background unless you choose a color that is close to it.

I would have thought it lets the reader think its something related to the site itself and not an ad for another site.

What if you set your background as a large black picture and then blended lol, lets see adsense figure that out.
    (Not recomended btw)
