Besides basic information on books, we have content for “About the book†, “Editorial Reviewsâ€, “About the author†etc. But the content in all these section are duplicate and are available on all sites selling similar books. Our question is: 1.Should we worry about the content being duplicate? 2.If yes, then will it by a good idea to hide this duplicate content using javascript or iframe?
Are you getting traffic from Google and are the individual pages bringing in traffic? If things look OK traffic wise, then things are fine. When it comes to duplicate content, Google usually selects 1 page and ranks it. That's why you should change things up on one of your sites, preferably the one with the least traffic from Google. Also, you need to add different content to it. You can't hide anything since the rest will be the same. You need something new there.
You must avoid duplicate content, Google is very serious about this. So the sooner you change, the better for you and your website.
Search engines algorithms are very intelligent duplicate content should be cached you need to remove it ...
