if your competitor analytic your backlink by yahoo, then they will know where to build link. it is not good. how to hide your backlink from yahoo?
Unfortunately it's not possible, unless you prevent Yahoo! from spidering your site. It's not worth missing out on Yahoo! just to prevent competitors from seeing your link sources. But hey - who said the glass was half empty? Don't see this as a threat to your site's secrets, but rather as an opportunity to analyze other successful sites and pick up tips from them
I agree, your time can more wisely be spent making your site better for the people who visit it and the rankings will come.
To be honest, I don't even use Yahoo to check backlinks; there are better tools out there. And no, it's not possible, but the good news you don't have to worry about it.
Yahoo only shows 1,000 results so what you need to do is structure it so those thousand results don't paint much of a picture. A couple of sitewide links on strong domains with thousands of pages does the trick quite well.
Yeah, as sweetfunny pointed out, just keep building links and they'll only have access to a sample of them. Might not be a bad idea if you built a better site then them too
sweetfunny is right , buy a couple of sitewides from BIG forums and you are done ^^ . You can make the link building to asdasd.com then 301 redirect it to your main page : ) But i did not try this one, in my opinion it should work.
you can't hide it, so what if they know it? all you have to do is to work hard for your site, do some strategic actions so that it would result to a better ranking. if you want your competitor to unsee links, then don't build links,
Sure you can hide Links - and you dont have to prevent Yahoo from spidering your site like iitob posted - you have to prevent Yahoo from spidering the site which links to you...
if i disable yahoo to index my site, yahoo will not show backlink to my site, right? Or I MUST let yahoo deindex site that link to my site?
Yahoo helps your competitor. i have wrote this to official yahoo site explorer and search forums but they are stupid answers
