If you've got those tags on the page already then I wouldn't spend too much time worryany about it. The best thing you can do now is to concentrate on internal and external link structure that uses that term in the anchor text.

As a pro, I know how to fake google, I just don't do it because am not a cheater, you can use normal text with the same color of your other contents so it will be visible, then color it as the back ground using java script, google does not monitor java script, it monitor only the pure HTML source .
Don't do it it will hurt you and get you just a first time visitors, be pure, be original, if your site worth it, you will get visited ...a lot ...

That is AWFUL advice. Yes, google might not notice it, but competitors frequently do. I know when I'm looking at a new market for a client I look at well ranked sites, see if they're doing anything naughty and then report them if they are.

There is no real benefit at all to having hidden text on the page. Just use the keywords in the tags on the page and in the body text and you'll get more benefit than hiding text left right and centre. People seem to spend more time and effort in trying to cheat the system when it can be done much more easily the proper way.

There are legitimate ways to put hidden text in, and illegitimate
    ways.

The legitimate ways are to put words in the <alt> tags,
but unless there is a link associated these count for almost
    nothing.

Frame based sites can make their "no frames" page to list a lot
of key words which will be seen by almost nobody but the search
engines, but of course be careful make links to all the frames from
each other or the search engines won't be able to find all
    your content.

Lastly, if you have lots of good content then a few hidden words won't
hurt you. If all you have is tons of hidden words, then you could get into trouble.

    best regards
    wiz

Hidden text is a no-no. It is considered a black-hat seo tactic and should never be used. Search engines have smart enough algorithms to notice this now. It was used in the past for keyword stuffing but unless you want to keep your domain up in search engine's indexes, you better not do it.

Certain techniques still can beat the search engines, but hidden text is something that is really obvious and will kill your site. Try getting more decent backlinks. I directly pay a lot of webmasters to put links to my articles on their sites. It definetely works with Google and dominates Yahoo and MSN.

Bad bad bad. The big search engines are the only ones you really need to be on and sites like Google will erase your site from their results if their robot finds hidden words. One way around it is to name your images using search keywords. (Instead of calling the background "bg_1", call it "computers".....u get the idea.

No metas are fine. Hidden text can be when you have text the same colour as your background or hidden by your CSS
