    I would say this is not a very good idea! Google HATES such tricks people use in order to get backlinks. But thanks for sharing your method! ;)

    First thing, commenting is no longer given such huge weightage and even if you want to take advantage of commenting, stop spamming comments. I comment on blogs and my success ratio is over 95% with links intact. Why? I don't comment without reading but I read and then comment.

    ^5 PDHawn... There's not a lot more work involved in reading a post and actually making a relevant comment. I trash short, meaningless comments like "Good post" on my site.

    This trick used to work. My favorite method was hyperlinking smileys :confused:... which doesn't work on DP, but works on plenty of forums.
