Hidden field for radius export?

If I leave the default "Export Raw Authentication Data" radio button checked (to yes) the resulting file appears to contain the "Contact Manager Miscellaneous" user-definable fields. However, these fields do not appear to be available to a customized "Export Raw Authentication Data" (no) export.

Is there some way to reconcile this? (An unlisted export option like <CMMisc2> for instance?) I am hoping to get out one of the "Contact Manager Miscellaneous" fields along with the <BIP> Broadband IP field (which does not come out with a default export...but it sort of looks either/or...is that right?

It should not contain anything from the contact manager. The contact manager record is not bound to a customer record in any way, so it would be impossible.

Sorry I probably just confused myself with a similarly named definable field....when I do a default export, a line might look like this:

    "345","20","someusername","theirpassword","Dial-up","","","","Advanced Fire Protection","sometown.com","","","","Unlisted","Unlisted","Unlisted","From: 192.123.123.123, On: 3/12/2005, At: 21:37:30"

where "sometown.com" appears to be that which appears under "Customer Info", second line down (next to the word Region...one of my contact manager fields also has that name, thus the mistake)....so I know that what is there is exportable, the default does it.

However, if I change from the default and enter all of the listed fields from the directions there, the "sometown.com" variable is not in the export. I was hoping that this is just missing from the instructions and it accessible via <Region> or something with the custom export?

Not sure that was phrased correctly as a question. Lemme try it this way. The "Region" field (second down on the right-hand side under "Customer Info" if it is definable somewhere) appears in a raw export but not in a customized export using all of the listed fields. Is there anyway to get it out with a customized export (I am hoping to use the region and the Broadband IP as variables but it looks either/or to me)?

Okay, now I understand... you want <Region> as a variable for the export. :)

There aren't any "hidden" fields that can be passed... only what is listed.

Not ideal I know (since it will require an upgrade), but I added it for the next version for you.

If it's something you need right away, you could move the contents of the Region field to one that you can grab from the export via a calculated Replace as a temporary workaround.

    Cool, thanks.
    Academic question:

When I leave it on "Export Raw Authentication Data" (yes) and do an export it takes about 10 seconds to run, when I specify "No" and pick fields it takes at least 10 minutes (and reports exporting from fp5s). In this mode it seems to take about the same amount of time if I export all available fields or only one....what makes the default way so fast?

The short answer is it's not user definable.
