Hi, will something descriptive really yield more responses?

I've come to DP looking for the odd solution to a problem over the past 18 months or so, but only signed up relatively recently. I'm busy building a group of sites, which takes up the majority of my spare time.

I live in the UK, i'm currently a law student at Leicester University, and i'm really keen to know whether descriptive introductory titles really will yield better results? (yes, cheesy i know!)

 

you have to look at it from both SE and real people's point of view.
Yes a good descriptive title would get attention of visitors when they are looking at their search results.

I believe google and most other search engines also gives importance to title "the thing that looks on top of your browser". But it should be short, not very large. The title for this thread sounds quite of right length.

for more info just search old threads and still if you don't find any then i would point you to one blog that talks about it (don't have the link rt now so would have to digg)

I think a descriptive title is good.. most just look at the titles and if it dont say much then they'll pass it right by.. but dont make it too long cuz then it will be a bore.. just have tobe right.. detailed but short..

The subject needs to be descriptive and interesting. But sometimes a simple title like "help me please" may pull more views - because there are more curious readers...
