Hi, sometimes (no ) most of times my broadband is just very slow.... i face this problem when i have been browsing using browsers like firefox , IE, safari, i have tried all the three popular browser to verify whether problem is with broadband or browser and now it is clear no problem in browser..
Actually what it happens is, for eg when i click on a link in a website , when i click on A Thread in DP the progress bar would be displayed in browser and loading symbol would be in tab... but it will be keep on loading for very long time , if i click the link one or three times again ,it gets loaded correctly or if i press refresh button one or two times link gets displayed.
    System configuration
Intel Dual core and Asus mother board 1gb ram
    and softwares
Zone alarm fire wall and AVG antivirus.
Does zone alarm makes this problem.?
And during this slow process also my torrent downloader works fine no problem with it.
Help me to solve out this problem.:(

Disable your antivirus and try again.

    BSNL Internet?
Try pinging a site from the command interface. eg- ping www.Wikipedia.org
If it takes too long to respond or if you loose packets then its surely a problem with the ISP. Also if you keep seeing "Resolving Host" in your browsers then try switching to Open DNS, might help load sites faster.
Best course of action would be to contact the service provider and get him to come home and fix it :)

Yes using BSNL... i already changed my dns as OPENDNS lol.. but still i am facing this trouble.. i have complained to ISP , they are saying no problem, it is corrected.. but the problem continues. I have pinged it but no packets lost.
I have tried to attached the ping details. (I dont know how to insert the image in here without uploading to net) I am even unable to upload the pic. when i click upload in DP (new pop window came in firefox without navigation or refresh button) it is saying waiting for "forums.digital point...." and nothing improvement in progress bar, when i press F5 key it gets refreshs , and again i click on upload nothing is taking place.
    so present the details here:

No lol... nothing is operating, i think you are asking abt any virus or malware would be sucking my broadband speed, but i have already scanned my entire pc and fully firewall protected and periodically i am checking for viruses. There is no such problem. But my isp askd me to change my os. Bt i feel it is difficult for me, i have to reinstall all programs. so i am hesitating to do it.
