Hi - Not including cash or other tangibles what is the most valuable asset you have?

    From my time in the IM space I've had some observations and curiosities that I wanted to ask everyone. Not including cash or other tangibles what is the most valuable asset (skillset?) you have? Ex:

    • Programming in C++?
    • Proficiency with Adobe software?
    • Writing skills?
    • Design skills?
    • Management skills?
    • A list of 10'000 people's emails who all want to hear from you?

    I have a history with computer programming. I'm comfortable using API's, going into the PHP of my websites and tinkering around, but here's the thing - Most of my freelancers are MORE SKILLED, CHEAPER, AND FASTER than me whenever I ask them to do anything I could otherwise have laboriously figured out on my own.

    I'm talking about skillsets as assets. From what I see if you just got a degree in graphic design you'd be shitting your pants right now because who the hell is going to hire you?

    Is my biggest leg up strong English and the ability to spin a story? From what I'm learning there's incredible value in a list of 10'000 people who want to hear from you because once you've earned that privilege nothing can remove you from the hearts and minds of those who recognize and respect you.

    What is more valuable, 100k/year salary or 10k subscribers to your blog? Thoughts?

    Also curious as to what people's 'hardest' skill is. For myself it's Canadian tax law, as I worked as an accountant in a past life. That doesn't serve me much now, but it's my hardest skill nonetheless.

    I suppose this is my way of introducing myself. Hello everybody, I'm happy to be on the forums.
