hi, i found out how to use filters for analytics so that my home computer is not logged everytime i visit my site. however, in adsense section, my page impressions still keep going up. is there a way to turn that off?
as long as you dont click on em..the imps wont matter..unless like you refresh or view pages of your site for like 20K times..that would make google suspicious.. 100-200 page impressions from one IP wont get you banned, as i myself edit and review my blog a lot of times before i finally publish it.. i dont know of any such tool..tho...
I second post above, this is true ofcourse - but I just liked to add - they don't allow to mislead impressions number because this influences CTR and CTM, but they know ofcourse, we have build and test our pages, so we have refresh it many times.
I think you should not refresh your pages as many times because as per google policy as this will effect cpm directly.
Impression DO count! visiting your site million times in a day is against TOS. Adsense do pay on CPM basis so all those impressions does cost money to advertisers, so its as good as clicking your own ads. Limited impression for testing purposes is fine but extensive vioation is not good.
no i dont mean unnecessary or purposefully..what i meant is that often i check out my site layout..etc etc.. thats why...otherwise its not ethical..ofcourse Impressions do count..but under normal circumstances..they are not much to be worried..
